OFFICIAL RULES AND TRIP INFORMATION
EQUEST NAPA VALLEY WINE COUNTRY CONTEST
ELIGIBILITY: eQuest’s Napa Valley Wine Country contest (“Contest”) is open only to existing customers of eQuest who are at least twenty one (21) years of age or older as of June 1, 2017. All employees of eQuest and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each (whether legally related or not), are ineligible to enter or win the Contest. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. Entry in the Contest constitutes unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest entry period begins at 12:01 a.m. EST on June 1, 2017 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 31, 2017.
CONTEST ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: You may enter the Contest by completing all required entry fields provided on the Contest entry form (located online at www.equest.com/napa-valley-vacation), including the eQuest essay field.
- Essays should be 100-1000 words in length. Submissions that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified.
- All essays must be the original work of the entrant whose name is listed on the submission form. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
- Essays will be judged on their ability to articulate the evaluation of eQuest online products and/or services in a clear, organized manner.
- Judging will be based on the following criteria: originality (25 percent), creativity (25 percent), use of language (25 percent), and appropriateness to contest theme (25 percent). eQuest will evaluate essay submissions in a fair and unbiased four-round judging system, where judges will all use the same criteria. Judges will be selected by eQuest based on their backgrounds and expertise in recruitment software, writing, and the subject matter. Decisions of the judges are final.
- Entrants must be a current customer of eQuest.
PUBLICITY: As a condition of entry in the Contest, each entrant grants to eQuest a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license and right to publicize, broadcast, display and/or otherwise use an entrant’s name, city, state and essay entered in any media now known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional review, compensation, permission or approval by entrant.
Prize: One Grand Prize of a trip for two (2) people to Napa Valley, California. Trip includes:
a) Round-trip coach class air transportation, from a major airport near the winner’s residence, for two (2) people to San Francisco. All travel must begin/end with the same major airport and airport must be from inside the 48 domestic US states.
3 nights accommodations as follows: first night at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco; 2 nights accommodations at Napa River Inn in Napa, California. 1 gift certificate to Bottega Restaurant, Yountville, CA valued at $250; 1 gift certificate to Cole’s Chop House, Napa, CA valued at $250; 1 gift certificate for Oakville Grocery, valued at $50.
b) One (1) standard room (king or double) for one (1) night at the Fairmont Hotel San Francisco. Based on availability at time of booking (room and tax only). Final hotel selection shall be determined by eQuest. (Credit for room is no more than $500.00 per night)
c) One (1) standard room (king or double) for two (2) consecutive nights at the Napa River Inn in Napa, CA. Based on availability at time of booking (room and tax only). Final hotel selection shall be determined by eQuest. (Credit for room is no more than $400.00 per night)
d) One (1) full size rental vehicle (vehicle rental and associated vehicle rental tax only) for two (2) days; driver must be 25 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license and major credit card (subject to terms and conditions of rental car company) and will be responsible for any associated additional costs (including insurance, gas, child seats, GPS, etc). (Credit for rental car will be no more than $225.00.)
Entire trip must be taken and completed between the following dates: November 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018. All reservations are based on availability, and must be booked at least 30 days in advance of travel date. No trips may be taken during the blackout periods specified by the aforementioned prize package partners. Retail value of prize is $2,100 USD. All other expenses are the winner’s responsibility, including local and ground transportation, telephone/Internet, meals, room-service charges, parking fees, and gratuities. Any penalties associated with changes made to any reservation following confirmation of booking will be the responsibility of winner. Blackout dates include all major US holidays, as well as/including November 23, 2017 through November 26, 2017; December 22, 2017 through January 1, 2018. Prize provider reserves the right to substitute the specifically listed prize items in the form of a $2,100.00 USD travel certificate. This certificate is redeemable by winner via a designated Travel Agency identified by Prize Provider and acting on their behalf to fulfill the Grand Prize travel award in the maximum monetary value as outlined above. Any expenditures exceeding $2,100 USD gift certificate will be at the winner’s expense.

PRIZE NOTIFICATION: The Prize Winner will be notified via e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the Contest entry form. At the sole discretion of eQuest, disqualification and the selection of an alternate Prize Winner may result from any of the following: (1) a Prize Winner’s failure to respond to email Prize notification within seven (7) days after its transmission; (2) the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; (3) a Prize Winner’s failure to provide eQuest with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; (4) any other non-compliance with the Official Rules. eQuest may, in its sole discretion, award the forfeited Prize to an alternate winner.
PRIZE WINNER OBLIGATIONS: By entering, each entrant agrees to defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless eQuest from and against any and all losses, demands, damages, rights, claims, actions and liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to entrant’s participation in the Contest. The Prize Winner assumes all liability for any injury, death, or damage caused, or allegedly caused, by participating in this Contest and use of the prize. Any disputes that may arise from the Contest or under these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of California, and venue will be in the state and federal courts of the State of California. All taxes are the responsibility of the Prize Winner, who may receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of the Prize.
OFFICIAL RULES/PRIZE WINNER REQUESTS: To obtain a copy of these Official Rules or for notification of the Prize Winner’s name, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: “eQuest Trip to Napa Valley Wine Country Contest” c/o eQuest, 2010 Crow Canyon Place, Suite 100-10016, San Ramon, California 94583. Requests for Prize Winner’s name must be received no later than three months after the end of the Contest period.
